I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time getting motivated to do house cleaning, meal planning, and well most of the jobs around the home. So you may be wondering why I have a blog where I’m giving tips and tricks for daily life when I am just learning to do the same? That’s just it, I am an average mom, homemaker, cook and farm wife that loves to learn new things, but doesn’t have it “all together” like social media makes it look! I want to be real with you and share a few ideas of what helps me, or maybe doesn’t work for my daily routine. Can I be honest, again? I really struggle with discipline for myself… What do I mean?
I strive to keep discipline a daily habit for my kids. For example, when they need to clean up a spill, I make sure they stick with it to get the job done and to do it well. Or, maybe they need to put away their laundry in the right drawers instead of just stuffing everything into one drawer and calling it good. I do this because I want them to have the discipline to do the job well. I know this is a very simple example, but i think it gets the point across.
Well, when it comes to myself, I can be pretty “lax” on the discipline side of things and let the housework get piled high to where it feels so overwhelming! I get more and more stressed that there is so much to do, and it’s frustrating! So as I am learning this just like some of you, I wanted to put together a weekly schedule that keeps us in check and maybe help our focus go to more important things!
Some of you probably have a routine that really works for you. That’s great! Also, some of you might be so organized that this seems silly. But, I know everyone is different and that’s a good thing!
Weekly Cleaning Schedule
This printable weekly schedule doesn’t cover all of the basic chores like dishes or cooking. It also doesn’t include deep cleaning that some like to do every once in a while. Also, I’m not suggesting you do laundry every day. Although some of us have to whether we want to or not. However, you can choose one day to do all your laundry if that is what works for you! You can switch things up or write your own schedule. I hope these ideas give you the inspiration you need to stick with it! I know I’m going to be doing it right along with you!
